On Band-Aids and Severed Limbs

When I was in college, the university medical service (known affectionately, if pejoratively, as the "Quack Shack") had a reputation for diagnosing pretty much every illness and injury as "mono." Didn't seem to matter what the actual symptoms were, "it's mono" was the canned response.

I was reminded of this by today's news that one of the least important parts of the ObamaCare© train-wreck has been set aside:

"The Senate voted 87 to 12 to repeal the [1099] filing requirement, which would have forced millions of businesses to file tax forms for every vendor selling them more than $600 in goods each year"

So. What?

This is putting a band-aid on a severed limb. Either repeal the whole mess or go home.
