Last we looked, the previous administration was looking to hold up the proposed merger of Humana and Aetna:
"The Department of Justice announced Thursday that it would file lawsuits against the proposed merger[s] ... there are [currently] five major health insurers in the United States — and if these mergers went through, that would drop to three."
But that was then, and this is now:
"[A] U.S. federal judge blocked the companies merger deal, saying it violated antitrust law."
Interesting times.
