The other day, we posted on Houston's efforts to encourage workplace wellness, and expressed skepticism at how it's being implemented:
"So the vendor sells employee info, and employees that take a pass get dinged for $300?"
Long-time FoIB Matt H emailed to let me know that, all in all, the program seems to be working out:
"A group of this size and funding usually has various vendors handling different parts of the plan. I believe the city has one biometric vendor, but they still have to migrate data to certain of the other vendors, thus the disclosure. This is not uncommon in complex, multi-vendor arrangements.
